her nursery into a little girls room. I've had so much fun with her room, although it's still a work in progress. I had all of her wood work in her bedroom painted white and chose a pale pink for the walls
so that the colors of melon, grass green and hot pink would pop.
I chose Serena & Lily for her bedding and loved the ability to mix and match the bedding pieces. The
drapes were purchased from Restoration Hardware Baby (major clearance!!) and the Melon color trim was a perfect match with the Serena & Lily Melon color block shams. The bed was purchased off of Craigs List and I had it painted.
Here's a picture of her nursery before:
I found the mirror at a garage sale and painted it green to match the box on her dresser
and the lamp by her bed.
The green box on her dresser was the inspiration to add green to her room. It was a gift
from my sister and when I sat it in there, I instantly knew green was the third color I wanted to use.
The two dressers in her room had been sitting in her grandparents garage for years, so I had them painted to match her bed.
The lamp was a splurge, but I had seen the lamp on a blog and instantly fell in love with it! It's such a fun lamp and the pefect pop of color for the room. It's from Stray Dog Designs and they have some amazing pieces! The dolls on the bed are Bla Bla Dolls! They are mine and my daughter's favorite dolls! They are soft, fun to dress and beautifully colorful and unique dolls! Every little girl should have one!!
The canvas was a gift from my talented sister, who owns Julie Marie Portraits. She's an amazing photogapher on the East Coast, so when she comes to visit, she always capture's great pictures of my children! It was originally for a hallway in our home, but I love it in J's room so I've left it in there for the time being!
You are so, so talented! It's about time you put your talent to good use! Congrats on your 1st design blog!
